Wanna Feel Old? The Greatest Movie Of Our Generation, American Pie, Turned 20 Yesterday

Goddamnit this makes me feel old.  If you’re around 30 years old, American Pie was THE movie of your time.  It had everything you can imagine in a coming of age, raunchy teenage comedy.

The Soundtrack was amazing:

Eddie and I talked about this on Dog Walk a few months back.  The American Pie soundtrack is truly a work of art.  It captured each scene perfectly.  It hit the viewer in the feels as they say.

Blink 182 – First Date

Harvey Danger – Flagpole Sitta (one of the great 1 hit wonders ever)

Simon and Garfunkel – Mrs. Robinson

Third Eye Blind – Semicharmed Life

and like….  a dozen more bangers.

It was also hilarious.  Remember when Stiffler drank the jizz?

or when Shit Break had to take a shit break?

or when Jim’s dad awkwardly gave him the porno mags?

But… we gotta talk about The Sherminator here.  He’s without question one of the greatest villains in movie history.  There’s Heath Ledger as The Joker in The Dark Knight, James Earl Jones as Darth Vader in Star Wars and Chris Owen as The Sherminator in American Pie.

That’s it.  That’s the list.

But we gotta get to the good stuff.  The REALLY good stuff.  The stuff that turned us from boys into men.  The stuff that molded our minds more than our parents, teachers, or society in general ever could.  Of course that stuff I’m talking about is that little Eastern European MINX Nadia:

and because I love you, the reader, I’m going to link an EXTREMELY NSFW video of her getting undressed in Jim’s room while they were studying.

And don’t even get me started on eating box. Who doesn’t remember this gem?

And more importantly who didn’t get into near fist fights with their 14-15 year old buddies over who was hotter between Nadia and Vicky?

As I said, it molded our youth.  We wouldn’t be where we are today without American Pie so happy birthday to this all time classic. Start planning the 21st bday barcrawl pronto.
